Sartain’s

About Us

Sartain’s began with a simple idea: make furniture with the character and craftsmanship they wanted in their own home. What started as a personal pursuit has grown into a family business with work found across the country.

Jason’s love of woodwork took root during summers spent cutting firewood in Washington State. Drawn to the grain and character of different species, he began learning to build the furniture he admired. In his twenties, an aggressive cancer diagnosis brought him to MD Anderson in Texas. Faith, music and woodworking filled his time during treatment, and after his recovery, that passion for making became a small business called Awesome Shoppe.

Jason and Kellie met in 2018 and married in 2019. Kellie naturally became part of the work, discovering a talent for paints, stains and the subtle finishing details that give a piece its character. Together, they found a home for their growing business in Bellville, a town Kellie already loved and had roots in.

In 2019, they purchased a building dating to the 1940s and began restoring it. Jason and Kellie opened the doors to Awesome Shoppe in December 2020.

Today, their work spans custom furniture, mantels, beams and architectural features, with milling, building and finishing done in house and by hand. The showroom brings that work together, offering a place to explore materials, finishes and possibilities.

For Jason and Kellie, Sartain’s is an extension of the life they share: rooted in faith, shaped by family and always making room for what comes next.
